Mas Martorell

The MAS, locally known as Can Ponç dates back to 1890 and was then a cattle farm. Later, as time passed and families split, the MAS was divided into two: Can Maret and Mas Martorell, both names referring to the owners. Since then and up to 2002, four families have lived in Mas Martorell working on the land and breeding cattle. The last owner made major transformations to the house very much according to his own taste.

Since 2006 a Belgian family has taken over, trying to renovate the domain back to its Catalan splendour.

We are working on the hacienda as a whole doing research on its Catalan origins and wanting to give it back its official name. From now on, Mas Martorell will be known as a rustic guesthouse on a 1.5ha domain where you will spend an unforgettable holiday!

We wish to welcome you in our 4 comfortable and spacious rooms. They have been renovated so as to provide each one with an en-suite bathroom and a tea & coffee corner.

We have paid special attention to your sleeping conditions fitting each room with high quality bedding.

Mas Martorell offers you:

A healthy breakfast prepared by Brigitte every morning with homemade products such as marmalade, yoghurts, fruit juices, pastries, etc...

For other meals, the fully equipped kitchen is available and the area offers countless restaurants. Upon request, evening meals, table d'hôte style, can be organised.

A swimming pool (18x 6m) for which health and safety have been our main concerns.

A hydraulic child security cover which when closed makes the pool a no-risk zone. It also has a thermal value since the pool loses much less heat when the top is closed

A salt electrolysis technology so that no chemical products are needed for cleaning the pool. Skin dryness, hair bleaching and chlorine allergies can be forgotten

A brand new ping-pong table.

Outdoor play areas for children.
In the sun and in the shade, so that you can relax while your children enjoy themselves.

The domain is big enough to let you either share moments with others or be on your own.
