A little bit of England

A little bit of England lies just 1.5 kilometres to the south-east of Almanzora town, nestling amongst orange, lemon and olive groves on the banks of the Rio Almanzora. The town itself has 5 bars, all of which serve food, a small but well stocked supermarket/tobacconist and the Palace of the Marquis of Almanzora, currently in ruins. Preservation work on this magnificent building has begun and plans are in hand to convert it into a cultural, commercial and tourist centre. A public swimming pool has been newly completed and is now open.

Almanzora is just 2 kilometres from the new Autovía de Almanzora (Almanzora valley motorway) so has excellent links to the coast at Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar (about 35 minutes) as well as Granada and the Sierra Nevada inland.

The accommodation consists of either a double or a twin room, both with full en-suite bathrooms with their own independent hot water supply. The bedrooms are equipped with individual heating or cooling air conditioning units.

The guest lounge also doubles as a breakfast room by the use of folding tables and chairs and has English Satellite TV. There is a large sofa, but space is limited. There is also a toaster, kettle and microwave oven to allow guests to prepare their own snacks and beverages.

Broadband Internet access is available via our wired network. Dedicated in-house equipment is available for guest use, but you are welcome to bring your own. A network card will be required, but we can supply a cable. Geographical and construction constraints mean that wireless broadband is not available.

Parking is available at the property and is quite adequate for the number of guests we can cater for.

Cereal, toast or Continental breakfast is provided as standard. English breakfast, subject to local availability of ingredients, is available by arrangement (prior notice required) at no extra cost.
