Casa Carabella Farmhouse Accommodation

Casa Carabella offers large double/family en-suite guest bedrooms situated on the ground floor and overlooking the colourful garden. Our spacious bedrooms look towards the nearby village of Almanzora and mountain views beyond and have tea and coffee making facilities. Use of a hairdryer and fridge are available at no extra charge.

A washing machine iron/ironing board are available at minimal charge.

All bedrooms open on to the guests’ large dining area & separate guest lounge with Sky TV. Double doors to the front of the property open onto a large shaded patio area offering ample seating. A colourful garden borders the patio where lavenders, jasmine, passion flowers, wisteria, hibiscus & oleander blossom. The mountain and valley views from this area are simply amazing!

Although we are unable to offer accommodation to your four-legged friend we can recommend a reliable and very reasonably priced kennels/cattery situated only half a mile away.

A five minute walk via fragrant orange and lemon groves will take you to the historic village of Almanzora where a small market is held every Friday morning. Once there you will find several friendly bars. The village also boasts a bank and cash machine, supermarket, bread shops, doctors, chemist, several estate agents, school and an old palace. Regrettably the palace has been left to decay over the years and is in serious need of lots of TLC but still very interesting to browse around nevertheless.

A new swimming pool is open to the public at a charge of only 1e per day.
For those who enjoy other sport a new ten pin bowling centre has recently opened in the nearby town of Arboleas. The centre offers various entertainment including pool tables, bar and gaming machines.

Between Casa Carabella and Almanzora village is the Rambla de Albox. Spanning this dry river bed is an impressive Railway bridge. The railway was closed in the 1970’s and used to run between the coastal port of Aguilas and the town of Baza. There are many interesting places to visit inland and the scenery is breath taking wherever you go.
