B&B Los Gatos
Situated in the heartland of the almond orchards of Valencia, Los Gatos rural bed and breakfast offers the perfect alternative escape from city life. This is a part of Spain unspoilt by tourism, the “real” Spain, and a paradise for cat lovers!
Los Gatos lies on a plane overlooking the mountains. From the guest roof terrace the sunset can be enjoyed, disappearing behind the mountains. Within 15 minutes in the car you can swim in breathtakingly beautiful lakes, enjoy stunning unspoilt mountain villages or enjoy the locally made sweet almond delicacies.
Nearer to home you can make numerous walks, or cycle on the newly laid bicycle tracks. And, if the city calls, Valencia is only 50kms away, with it's atmospheric old city and the ground-breaking arts and science complex designed by the architect Calatrava. It also has a very attractive and clean city beach and promenade.
The accommodation consists of two individual (double) bedrooms with shared bathroom. The larger of the two rooms also has it's own small private balcony, and there is a large roof terrace where guests are served their breakfast. The vegetarian breakfast includes home made bread, seasonal fruits from the organic garden, home made jam and fresh eggs from our own chickens. Lunch and evening vegetarian meals (using organic produce from the garden) are also available on request. Electricity is from solar panels and we strive to live as ecologically responsibly as possible.
There is free use of internet, for those who can't quite leave the “modern” world behind them!
There are also 3 bikes for use by the guests to explore the local area.
Art courses are offered for individuals or groups.
