We are at the very top of El Tossal, surrounded by the pine forest.
Approximately half way between La Nucia and Altea. The nearest beach is Altea, which is small pebbles then El Albir which has a mix of sand and pebbles and then the famous sandy beaches of Benidorm. At Mascarat (Altea) you can partake in water sport or hire a boat or a rib for 1/2 a day (or a day).
Have a Paella on the beach or just sit and people watch in the many trendy bars. In the delightful old town of Altea, are many Art Galleries, Restaurant’s and Bar's, there are also very nice shops and a summer market in the evenings for jewellery and handbags and clothing.
The views from the old town are magnificent and it is very worth taking photographs!
The new part of Altea runs along the N332 and there are lots of designer shops and bar and restaurants down here as well. The main shopping street Jaime 1, has banks, supermarkets, bakeries and pharmacy's, so most of your needs can be met in Altea.
There is often a fiesta in one or other part of the town. La Nucia old town has been renovated and is now a beautiful and enchanting place to be. You will find all the normal facilities and shops in La Nucia. There are street markets in Altea and Alfaz del Pi on Tuesday and Friday and they are always worth a visit.
