Killilagh House Guesthouse
Brid Shannon warmly welcomes you to Killilagh House, her Guesthouse in the centre of Doolin Village. The house was converted from the Award Winning Restaurant, into twin, double and family rooms.
All rooms are on the ground floor, are en-suite, have TVs & tea-making facilities with a safe, ample car park out front. The Breakfast menu includes many personal touches, such as daily baked bread and other local produce. A variety of dietary requirements can be catered for.
The Guesthouse is one of the most popular in the area with considerable repeat business and guest referrals. Our house is walking distance to Pubs and Restaurants.
The pubs have music sessions every night during the season.
Doolin is on the verge of the Burren, a remarkable limestone area that has a combination of features that make it unique in Europe. Its geology, flora, caves, archaeology and history set it apart as a place of mystery and beauty - an explorers dream. The Burren Display Centre in Kilfenora helps unravel many of the Burren's mysteries.
The area comprises nearly 100 square and almost one third of Co. Clare's coastline.
The lunar beauty of the Burren includes jagged grey hills resembling skyscrapers turned to rubble, hidden depressions that open up into a labyrinth of caves and wildflowers found nowhere else.
A great way to see the Burren is by bicycle or walking. We are 10 mins drive to beautiful beaches at Lahince and Fanore where people can be seen surfing as well as swimming.
For other activities, there is Horse riding, Golfing & Pitch & Put. There is a bus stop right outside our house with regular busses from Galway, Limerick & Ennis.
