Our spacious reception area invites you into the house where you get a warm welcome from your hosts.
Guest may relax in the large guest lounge, read, watch television, or just sit and chill out in the comfortable setting.

Guests may park in our large car park.

Breakfast is served in our large Dining Room, a choice of traditional Irish breakfast or continental. Everything is freshly prepared and cooked each morning.

Sonas B&B has spacious bright bedrooms, each bedroom en-suite and individually decorated. All rooms have television, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryers. An Ironing service is available on request.

Carna, in the heart of Gaeltacht on the shores of Galway Bay is an area where Irish is the everyday language. This is an area rich in ancient culture and tradition. This is also an area renowned for its skilled boat makers who build the traditional wooden sailing boats known as Galway Hookers and the small craft used commonly along the west coast called the currach.

Walking: We are perfectly located for all types of walking enthusiasts with the Twelve Pins & Maamturk Mountain Ranges and The Connemara Way Walking Trail close by. There are also some lovely local walks in the area where you can explore our local beaches, bog lands and flora and fauna. There is a very strong Walkers Group in Carna who meet every Sunday to do one of the lovely local walks.
