Our bed and breakfast received Irish welcome awards for 2004, 2005 and 2006.

We are situated between the towns of Castlebar and Westport, this is an ideal base for touring the West Coast, Connemara, Achill Island, Knock Shrine, Museum of Country life, Ballintubber Abbey, Ashford castle.

Horse riding close by, golf, fishing after a day of sightseeing you can relax in our lounge and watch dvd.

On arrival you will be offered afternoon tea and scones.

We are only 40 minute drive from Knock airport, 3 hour drive from Dublin airport, 2 half hour drive from Shannon airport. One can also visit Clare Island Ceide Fields in North Mayo, we are child friendly, Castlebar is the new capital for entertainment and shopping in Irelands west. The royal Theatre is situated in the heart of Castlebar, this state of the art new royal Theatre is the second largest entertainment venue in Ireland and the largest outside of Dublin.

This area is a walkers paradise The Tochar Phadraig Castlebar; Four days walks most towns such as Castlebar and Westport have guided walking tours. For more information check with local tourists offices. Foxford Woollen Mills is a major attraction in the area. It allows the visitor to experience the inner working of a traditional mill through an ingenious tour bringing history to life.
