Knock shrine is a major attraction for pilgrims and tourists from all over the world.
In 1879 the apparition of Our Lady, St Joseph, St John the Evangelist and the Lamb of God was witnessed by fifteen people and has continued to attract millions of pilgrims year after year.
During the pilgrimage season, anointing of the sick takes place each day in the Basillica.
Other attractions in the area are Father Peyton Memorial Centre, Croagh Patrick, Ballintubber Abbey, Westport Town.
Both Galway city and Sligo are located approximately one hour drive away.
Knock airport is located 20 minutes drive away. Car hire companies are located at the airport.
Trains operate from Claremorris and Ballyhaunis nearby. Bus Eireann operate regular services from many locations to and from Knock village.

Directions
Arriving in Knock village at the roundabout take the Ballyhaunis Rd and on the right you will see a sign for Knock House Hotel. Turn right for the hotel and we are before the hotel on the left.
From Ballyhaunis as you approach Knock you will see a sign for Knock House Hotel on your left, turn as if going to the hotel and we are before the hotel on the left.
