Copperfield House B&B

Copperfield House takes its name from the fact that this was a copper mining area.

Situated overlooking Bonmahon beach. It is an ideal base for any age group with its varied amenities such as swimming, fishing or mountain walks on the Comeragh Mountains.

We are situated in the centre of the Copper Coast, which gets its name from the 19th century copper mines that lie at its heart. It comprises of some 25 kilometres of spectacular coastline, beaches and coves from Tramore to Dungarvan. The Copper Coast was awarded European Geopark status in 2001 in recognition of its outstanding volcanic geology, as well as the very significant history of mainly 19th century copper mining. It took more than 460 million years to create the Copper Coast so take your time to visit and explore it!

The Copper Coast Geopark is an outdoor museum of geological records. Follow the information boards on the Copper Coast Discovery Trail to get a glimpse of the unique story of the Copper Coast Geopark.

There is a choice of eight beautiful beaches, all family friendly, some suitable for surfers and some for divers, The Bog of Fenor, Copper Coast Mini Farm, and Ballymoat Gardens offer hours of enjoyment

.All over Waterford, you will find castles, beautiful rivers, scenic mountain drives, ancient megalithic and monastic sites.

Waterford is a thriving, busy commercial centre named by the Vikings who established a settlement here in 853 Ad.

The Passage East Car Ferry offers easy access to Waterford from Wexford leaving you more time to drive through the beautiful countryside of County Waterford.
