Mossman Fantail

Fantail is located close to the highway and is easily accessible by all vehicles. It's a great place to base yourself to explore the local area, whether looking for the rainforest or beach experience or both!

The area has a fabulous swimming hole and a winery all within walking distance of the property and offers great views including Mount Demi and Thorntons Peak. It boasts a saltwater pool with Jacuzzi seat and large gardens with fruit trees. Only an hour from Cairns airport it is recommended that you hire a car for your visit but it is not essential as there are many tours and activities that can be booked that will collect and drop off door to door.

Breakfast is served on the patio overlooking the pool and countryside beyond whilst listening to the chatter of the many birds that visit the property.

There is also a large barramundi pond on the property where you can go and feed the fish or look out for the large birds that try there luck with the fish.

All bedrooms have recently been renovated and have new bathroom facilities; Hairdryers, iron, fridge and kettle are also in the rooms. Rooms are fully screened against insects and have ceiling fans. Sun loungers and towels are available for guests to enjoy the pool, and towels available for use for those going on reef trips visiting the local swimming hole, Mossman Gorge or the beach!

The valley has a cool breeze blowing through for most of the year and we do not have any access problems during the wet season. If you intend to do a lot of travelling during this time a 4wd vehicle is recommended.

The local area has something to offer everyone no matter what your tastes, adventure tours, 4wd tours, reef trips or lying on the beach, bird watching fishing or golf we have it all.
