Morton Villa is centrally situated in Dumfries, south-west Scotland's main market town. This is a well-loved family home - bright, spacious, comfortable and clean. We pride ourselves on our informal and friendly ambience - you will find us easy and helpful hosts.

Our accommodation consists of one double en-suite, one twin en-suite and one standard room with its own separate bathroom. We provide free Wifi and Bike storage. All mod cons are available and all rooms are en-suite/private. Morton Villa is non-smoking throughout and we regret to say that pets are not allowed.

We are ideal for mountain biking at 7Stanes Mabie Forrest, golfing and nice local walks. Home town of Robert Burns and Moat Brae House where the story of Peter Pan was born. Great fishing is available on the river Nith.

There are several Castles and Abbeys in and around the Dumfries area including Drumlanrig Castle and Europe’s only Triangular Castle at Caerlaverock. There is great bird watching at Caerlaverocks Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and at RSBP's Mearse Head. Beachs can be found along the coast at Sandy Hills and Southerness.

Great food is available across the town at restaurants such as Hullabaloo, The Cavens Arms, Casa Mia, The Thai Orchid and Il Fume. Dumfries is the hub for the regions vast Arts & Crafts culture with Gracefield Arts Centre just around the corner.

In the spring you can follow the Spring Fling artist trail around the region getting to meet many of the local artists as they open up their studios to the public. Just of the M6 Dumfries is a great place to stop off on your way North to Glasgow and Edinburgh and the Highlands or if you are heading South to the Lake District or further into England.
