Woodland Vegetarian Guest House
Woodland Vegetarian/Vegan B&B and Guesthouse and Yoga Retreat
Woodland guest house is situated in an acre of mixed woodland in the picturesque hamlet of Rosehall in the central northern Highlands. Rosehall has a post office and shop, the Achness Hotel with bar and restaurant, while Lairg, 8 miles away has several shops, a library, garage and train station.
We offer three double bedrooms, with tea and coffee-making facilities, and a CD/radio. Two of the rooms can be converted to twin.
Our delicious breakfasts are cooked with organic produce where possible. Evening meals are available on request. You can visit us for B&B only, or you might like to try a relaxing yoga break with two sessions daily, massage as an extra, and full board. We can also offer guided nature walks and have cycles for hire. There is plenty of interest in the local area.
The Rosehall Trails with the fun wildwood walk and adventurous Sika deer mountain bike trail is a few hundred metres down the road, the mysterious Raven's Rock Gorge is nearby, and the magnificent falls of Shin with visitor centre are a few miles away.
We are a drive away from Ullapool to the west, John o'Groats to the North, Dornoch Firth and Tain to the East and Inverness to the South. If you prefer not to travel why not relax in our garden. There is the pond to gaze in, and a variety of birds at the bird table. Come and check us out and we are sure you will not regret it!
To reach us you can travel by road, rail, bicycle or air to Inverness. From Inveness by road follow the A9 in the direction of Wick and Thurso, then fork left at the Skiatch services onto the B9176 heading towards Bonar Bridge. From there turn left onto the A836. Proceed through Invershin and turn left signposted Rosehall.
Follow this road along the river until the junction with the A839. Turn right on this road and Woodland is the first on the right.
