We are a long established business and pride ourselves in the service we offer to our many guests. Your comfort and enjoyment is our priority. Our bedrooms are furnished with comfort and convenience in mind. Centrally heated, hospitality trays, TVs. All you would expect from a three star guest house.

Our breakfast menu is made to suit all tastes from full traditional Scottish breakfast to smoked salmon and strawberries. Something for everyone. The comments from our guests speak volumes.

Packed lunches are available as are light suppers (coffee and sandwiches) for those guests who find that they arrive too late to eat in town.

We are only too happy to help with all requests whenever possible.
Foreland is central to all the amenities Portree has to offer.

Skye is a paradise for climbers and walkers. The famous Cuillin Mountains attract climbers from all over the world. As a base Foreland is a maximum half hour drive from all areas of the Cuillin.

Skye is as beautiful in winter as it is in summer. The changes in the scenery are sometimes breath taking depending on weather conditions. The sunsets in midsummer are among the most stunning anywhere in the world.

Portree is a bustling town with craft shops, cafes and all the other amenities you would expect to find in a lively town.

During the summer there are regular boat trips from the harbour where you can look for a sea eagle and possibly golden eagles. Seals are plentiful around the bay and can be seen basking on the rocks or bobbing in the clear waters of the harbour.

Local fishermen land their catch daily at Portree. You can see prawns and crabs being boxed and taken away for sale in the European markets the following day.
Portree boasts a heritage centre and art centre.

Ceilidhs (singing and dancing in the traditional way) take place regularly during the summer months. The Isle of Skye Pipe Band entertain visitors in the centre of Portree during the summer and are regularly playing at events throughout the year
