Carndaisy House
Carndaisy House would be delighted to offer you the choice of two rooms. The Four Poster room is a spacious and bright room with amazing views of the mountains. The double room has its own private bathroom just adjacent to it, it also has fantastic views of the countryside. Both rooms have television, DVD or video players. We have an extensive hospitality tray in each room for your enjoyment.
Children are very welcome and we have a lovely large garden, which they can play in.
We welcome you with a 'wee dram' of the local Glen Ord malt or tea and homebaking if you prefer.
Our breakfast menu offers Homemade pancakes, smoked salmon & scrambled egg and a full Highland, with award winning Haggis and black pudding.
Muir of Ord is central for touring the highlands, we are 20 minutes from Inverness and 30 minutes from Loch Ness. We can book you a boat trip out onto Loch Ness if you are brave enough!
The area is renowned for spotting Red Kites and Ospreys. We have seen a pair quite often this year.
You can also go Dolphin spotting in the local area.
In Beauly 3 miles from us, there are excellent Hotels to eat in the evenings. Every Thursday Evening in the local square you will find a demonstration of Highland dancing followed by the local Pipe Band parading the village square for your enjoyment.
You will find Fishing, walking and cycling all in the area. Muir of Ord boasts an excellent golf course.
Dunrobin castle in Golspie in truly spectacular and is well worth a visit, on route is you fancy some fun then you can stop at Kildary for a bit of GoKarting fun!
Many Distilleries in the Highlands offer a great ' Dram' Choose from Glen Ord right here in the village of Muir of Ord, or North to Dalmore both offer guided tours and the chance to purchase a bottle.
