Situated just ten minutes from the A836 Wester Ross coastal route on the stunning Torridon to Diabeg road, Brybeg is the perfect base to explore this magnificent landscape.
Each bedroom has en-suite facilities, including shower, and there is a shared luxury bathroom for those who prefer a relaxing soak after a day in the hills. The kitchen and dining room are at your disposal and we also invite you to relax in our spacious and very comfortable lounge with extensive views across Loch Torridon. Wi-fi is available throughout the house.
After a restful night, join us in the dining room for a hearty, home-cooked full Scottish breakfast (or any combination thereof - vegetarian option available), the perfect preparation for your day exploring the wonders of this spectacular landscape.
Nearby Attractions
At the junction of the A836 Wester Ross coastal route and the Torridon / Diabeg road stands the National Trust for Scotland’s Countryside centre (1 Apr to 30 Sep, Sun-Fri 10-5). This treasure trove of information on the geology, wildlife and history of the region provides the ideal introduction to this outstanding area. A short walk along the track from the car park leads to a deer museum housed at The Mains, with a small number of deer in the field opposite. Carry on to the loch itself where there is a bird-watching hide for spotting the local wildlife.
Drive further along the Diabeg road to the village of Fasag which sits directly beneath Liathach, the highest mountain in the region.
Here you can enjoy a relaxing lunch or snack at the Torridon Stores and Café, which includes on its menu perhaps the most delicious carrot cake in Scotland.
The road continues through the Corry forest passing below Beinn Alligin and above Inveralligin. Beyond Brybeg the road winds and climbs dramatically to the Bealach na Gaoithe (pass of the wind) with glorious views arriving after four miles at Diabeg, a small crofting village with a lovely pier.
