Lynwood is a STB 4star B&B accommodation providing luxury en-suite rooms in a rural location on Speyside.
We offer a double/family room and a twin room both with en-suites facilities, Freeview TV, WiFi, hairdryers, complimentary toiletries, courtesy tray containing fresh milk and shortbread and other extras.
Our breakfast menu is varied with a choice of fruit juices, cereals, yoghurts, a full highland breakfast or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, croissants, toast with preserves or marmalade. We use all local produce where available.
Lynwood lies in an idyllic setting in the heart of rural Speyside surrounded by forest, hills and mountains. The ideal base in which to enjoy the many outdoor pursuits the Spey Valley has to offer. These include salmon or trout fishing on the River Spey and at the Trout Fishery, grouse/pheasant shooting and deerstalking, golf, and skiing at the nearby resorts of the Lecht and Aviemore, walking the Speyside Way or for the more energetic, climbing Ben Rinnes and Ben Aigan.
Perfect for the Whisky Trail and visiting the numerous distilleries along the way. There are many distilleries within a 3 mile radius, the Macallan distillery, said to produce one of the finest single malts, is 1/2 mile along the road, with Dufftown, the Malt Whisky Capital just 6 miles away. The Speyside Cooperage, where you can watch the coopers at work is well worth a visit.
The village of Aberlour, home of Walkers shortbread, is nearby, where you are able to hire cycles to explore the area. and a short but extremely scenic drive away is Tomintoul, renowned to be the highest village in Scotland.
The N.E. coast with its beautiful coastline and quaint fishing villages, and Spey Bay, where you can watch dolphins and osprey are within easy reach as are the magnificent Cairngorms.
Centrally located to the airports and cities of Inverness and Aberdeen.
All this combined makes Lynwood an ideal base in which to enjoy this beautiful part of Scotland.
