Muirburn House

We offer three ground floor en suite rooms with private entrance. Two of the rooms are doubles and the third has a super-king size bed with the option of splitting into good-sized twin beds. Two of the rooms also have direct access to a decked area with goldfish pond, overlooking the surrounding countryside. Guests have sole use of a delightful breakfast/sitting room with a log burning stove.

The rooms have thermostatically controlled radiators and are very well equipped to make your stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible -bathrobes, slippers, large fluffy towels, quality toiletries, hairdryer, Digital TV, DVD player with selection of DVDs, ipod dock, well stocked tea tray with a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate, home made fruit cake and shortbread.

Our breakfasts are legendary offering a wide choice and including home made items. We use free-range bacon and sausage from a small local family business - Nethergate Larder and free-range eggs from a neighbour's hens. The smoked salmon, smoked haddock and kippers also come from a small family business - Inverawe Smokehouse. We use world famous Stornoway black pudding and award winning haggis. Home made jams, marmalade and local honey also feature on the menu. We can provide a packed lunch by prior arrangement.

We offer free Wifi access for those of you who can't bear to leave your laptop behind! (We have a laptop, which can be made available to guests.)

We are less than a mile from Enterkine Country House, where you can enjoy fine dining and which is a very popular venue for weddings. We have many first class eateries all within a short drive. For example, The Sorn Inn which has won many awards including 2 AA rosettes for the 6th year running, a Michelin 'Bib Gourmand' for the 4th consecutive year and in Michelin's 'Eating out in Pubs', an 'Inspectors Choice', one of only three in Scotland. The Stair Inn is also a popular choice to enjoy a meal in relaxed surroundings.

We are only three miles from Ayr Racecourse who have approximately 28 days racing a year including The Scottish Grand National and Ayr Gold Cup. The Western House Hotel at the racecourse is another very popular venue for weddings. We offer a complimentary drop off/pick up service to weddings etc.

The Burns Heritage Centre is only a short drive away as is Dumfries House and Culzean Castle - both 'must sees'.

We are surrounded by many first class golf courses and have secure storage facilities for golf clubs.

We are situated right on the River Ayr Way, for those of you who are walking enthusiasts. Auchincruive College is nearby and so we are conveniently placed for visiting lecturers, for those attending courses, parents etc.

We have ample parking within the courtyard, and can offer secure storage facilities for golf clubs, bikes etc as well as drying facilities for wet clothes!
