High Meadows B&B
Ideal for a peaceful night when travelling to or from England -Scotland.
Excellent views all around and midway between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and the Scottish Borders. High Meadows is a small holding with ample private parking and quiet country roads. Nearby is the New Lanark heritage centre with the Falls of the Clyde. Only four miles away is the market town of Lanark and the country town of Biggar with some very interesting museums.
The town of Livingston is only 40 minutes away with a very extensive shopping centre including an outlet designer centre.
The towns of Lanark and Biggar both cater for all tastes for a meal out, there are excellent fish and chip shops, pizzas, Chinese, Indian, Italian, not to mention hotel bar meals and restaurants including Cornhill house, Coulter Mill. New Lanark Hotel and Tinto Hotel.
There are several excellent golf courses in the vicinity and fishing on the river Clyde.
The countryside offers great opportunities for walking and hill walking.
High Meadows offers fresh, free-range eggs for breakfast, which prove to be very popular!
Pets are welcome with prior arrangement.
As the bungalow is on one level, there are no steps to negotiate. There are two bedrooms, one which is a double with en suite, the other is a twin with a private bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin.
If required, there is an additional double bedroom available.
Breakfast is served in the lounge with amazing views over the surrounding countryside, a relaxing way to start your day!
Wedding guests are very welcome for receptions in the nearby hotels of Cornhill House and Tinto Hotel and there is a reliable local taxi firm to transport guest back late at night.
