Lazy Lizard Rock Bed & Breakfast
Welcome to the Lazy Lizard Rock Bed & Breakfast. Come and explore the histories & mysteries of the Sonoran Desert, Mexico, Tombstone, Tucson. Return to us in the evenings to rest, regroup & recoup.
You can opt to go birding, ride horses on the historic Anza Trail, climb the San Cayetano Mountains, go on a Snuggle Picnic, or sit and watch the many varieties of hummingbirds in their migrations. Local wildlife includes mountain lions, bobcats, 3 species of deer, javelina, the mysterious coatimundi, opossum, fox, reptiles, roadrunners, 3-species of rabbits, hummingbirds, and strolling families of quail. We invite you to experience all that is here at the Lazy Lizard Rock Bed & Breakfast.
If you are a history buff, you will love exploring the 500-year-old ruins of a Spanish mission at Tumacacori, only a 15-minute drive from the Lazy Lizard.
Now managed by the National Park Service, you can visit the museum on the property. Ruby, once a booming mining town, is now a ghost town you can visit. Visit the museum in Nogales to learn what was going on a hundred years ago.
Our local State Park, Pena Blanca, has a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. It has picnic grounds, if you're in the mood.
And, speaking of picnics, guests whose stays are 5 nights or longer receive a complimentary Snuggle Picnic - a meal in a lunch basket complete with picnic blanket, linens and wine glasses and wine or sparkling cider. This is perfect for honeymooners and others seeking a romantic escape. Lovers of all ages tell us this was a highlight of their stay. Rekindle your flame!
