Buffalo River Lodge Bed & Breakfast

The Buffalo River Lodge offers luxury accommodations with a romantic atmosphere, in the country near the Buffalo National River in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.

The lodge is a three level, 6,000 square foot log structure containing five guest suites, great room with huge stone fireplace, dining room and a library / TV / game room in the spacious loft area.

All suites are spacious and have private baths and king or queen size beds.

Honeymoon/Anniversary suites with 2 person jacuzzi tubs are available. Full breakfast daily. Dinners are served on Saturday evenings with advance reservation. Special Honeymoon and Get-away Packages are available!

Innkeeper / Owners John and Kim Holtry cater to couples looking for a romantic get-away in the Ozark Mountains and to floaters of the nearby Buffalo National River. Our bed and breakfast is not designed for children under 10.

The major attraction in the area is the crystal clear, Buffalo National River and the activities in and around it. The entire length of the river is a national park.

There are four canoe outfitters in the Buffalo Point area to assist you. The river is floatable year round in this area. There are many excellent hiking trails within the park.

The Buffalo River Lodge is located 2.4 miles from North Maumee Landing, one of the major canoe input locations on the river. Contacts for canoe outfitters and fishing guide services are available.

Ozark Garden Honeymoon Anniversary Suite
Located on the main level of the lodge is decorated with flowers and Monet paintings.
This suite features a king size bed, two person jacuzzi tub, TV & VCR and private entrance. The option of room service breakfast is available for this suite

Santa Fe Honeymoon/Anniversary Room
Located on the main level of the lodge, it has a king size bed and features decor and artwork collected from several trips to Santa Fe.

This room has a wood beamed ceiling and two solid log walls, king size bed, a private bath, 2 person spa, TV and VCR . It also includes breakfast served in the room. This is our most handicap accessible room.

Rocky Mountain Room
Located on the upper level of the lodge this extra large room with a king size bed features Rocky Mountain decor with a rustic look that includes a leather Lazy Boy Lounger.

There are two twin beds hidden behind curtains that are ready when needed but never noticed when not.

Smoky Mountain Room
Located on the main level of the lodge has a queen size bed and is decorated with artwork and sunflowers from the Smoky Mountains.

This room has a private entrance opening to the back side deck.

Quebec Honeymoon / Anniversary Room
Located on the upper level of the lodge our most secluded room is decorated with artwork from Quebec Canada. This extra large room has a very romantic atmosphere and features a king size bed, two person jacuzzi tub, TV & VCR, and breakfast served in the room.

There are two twin beds hidden behind curtains that are ready when needed but never noticed when not.

Breakfast
Full breakfast is served daily and is included in the room rate. Breakfast is served at 8:00 AM in summer and 9:00 AM in winter. A typical full breakfast will consist of coffee, orange juice, fruit, and either blueberry pancakes and sausage, hash brown crust breakfast pie with biscuits, macadamia nut french toast and sausage, or eggs with ham & cheese and biscuits.

Dinner Saturday evenings
John and Kim's complete gourmet dinners are available for guests on Saturday evenings with advance reservation. Dinner is usually served at 7:00 P.M. Dinner will consist of salad, gourmet entree with pasta & vegetable plus dessert and non alcoholic drinks.

Guests may provide their own wine for dinner if desired. Dinner will be served in the dining room or outside on the deck.

Dinner Sunday through Friday evenings
Informal dinners are available by special request, with selections of 3 types of Pizza, Hamburgers and Fries, Chili, Spaghetti, or BBQ Sandwiches.

Guests in the Honeymoon Suites have the option of in-room dining service.

All Saturday dinner reservations must be made at least one day in advance.

The Buffalo River Lodge does not have facilities for guests to prepare their own meals.

Several restaurants are nearby in Yellville (14 miles) and at Buffalo Point National Park (7 miles).

View the lodge's 62 scenic acres of woods and meadows from the double deck, wrap around porch or large outdoor hot tub! Bird watchers enjoy the many varieties of birds on the property throughout the year.
