The Paso Robles wine country is a spectacular and brief trip northeast to Hwy. 46 (less than 30 miles with breathtaking views atop Hwy 46 looking back at the Monterey Bay and Morro Rock).

This is where you begin the long process of discovering the hundreds of incredible wineries there. And, the coastal wineries are even closer. Cayucos is just below the southern most tip of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and a blissful stop on any trip up to or from Carmel, Big Sur, Monterey and San Francisco.
