Haiku Plantation Inn
It is here.. at Haiku Plantation Inn.. that we invite you to journey back to the yesteryear of old Hawaii.
This gracious plantation home, built in the 1870's for Maui's first sugar plantation doctor, retains most of its original architecture and historic grounds.
Set among the charm of Maui's historic plantation townes and the magnificent beauty of upcountry, today the old plantation home serves as Maui's original and truly Hawaiian Bed and Breakfast.
Once a crossroads between Hawaiian culture and western plantation life, the estate and plantation towne provide a glimpse back in time and remain today as memories of Maui's sugar and pineapple production days.
Sugar cane and pineapple fields are still in operation all around the estate, as Maui's last operating mill and the only U.S. cannery are located nearby.
Among the grounds of this old estate, is where traditional Hawaiian culture emerges once again, through the continuing educational program of Hawaiian healing practices.
Haiku Plantation Inn is located within the north shore and quaint upcountry community of Maui.
Beautiful beaches, tropical rainforests, nature preserves, pineapple and sugar cane fields, hike and bike trails, green rolling hills, daily rainbows and paniolo, Hawaiian cowboy, country all merge here, along the cooler slopes of Haleakala.
It is Hawaii and Maui at its best with historic plantation townes, wonderful boutiques and galleries, fine restaurants, working farms, beautiful scenery, friendly people and our own Fourth of July rodeo and parade.
Opened as Maui's first and original bed and breakfast in 1989, the Inn is lovingly restored to reflect its heritage and place in the Hawaiian culture.
Here, guests can escape the crowds and relax in an unspoiled tropical atmosphere while exploring the many activities our island has to offer.
