Come and enjoy your own hide-a-way in a private cabin overlooking the Iowa River.

You will have your own dock if you wish to bring a boat. You will experience nature in the two bedroom air conditioned cabin with pillow top log beds, a cozy fireplace, a full kitchen and great hospitality.

You can take a walk in the woods, enjoy the many flower beds or the Butterfly House and learn about the migration of the Monarch Butterflies. You can sit on the dock and experience the sunset over the water at the end of the day. We will serve you a full breakfast at the time of your choise.

The area has many interesting places for you to explore. An Art Museum with nearly 200 pieces of priceless art works, a Carnegie Library, a water park, the double deckered Empress that has rides on the Iowa River on weekends and a close up view of the fireworks on the 4th of July.

There are 16 eating establishments, the Metropolitan Opera House Theater, a refurbished train depot and switch tower for the train enthusiasts, the nearby Eagle City Winery for a taste of local wine, and the Historical Society's display of little shops of yesteryear are all here for your enjoyment.

You can visit the Book Cellar/Coffee Attic and relax in a cosy atmosphere while browsing through new and used books, enjoying the wonderful, unforgettable drinks of special coffees, teas, and fruit smoothies.

Riverbend Rally is a big 4th of July celebration with spectacular fire works over the river and the Labor Day attraction is the Scenic City Car Show. June is the month for Lawn Chair Nights in the Park with entertainment for all. Contact the Chamber/Main Street of Iowa Falls, IA for information. Calkins Nature Center has short trails for nature hikes, a bird sanctuary, a Native American Indian museum and a Butterfly House. There are naturalists available at the center to answer all your questions.
