The Parisian Courtyard Inn
Located in the Trendy Lower Garden District with public transportation, restaurants, antique shops and the Garden District all within 4 block walking distance.
The Parisian Courtyard Inn is one of the oldest buildings in New Orleans. Built before Pontalba Apartments at Jackson Square in 1846 by Rufus Mcllhenny of the Tabasco family. The monolithic columns frame the wrought iron balcony protecting the stucco facade and 12 foot walk thru windows.
Enter the huge door to the great hall with double parlors and a sweeping six-foot circular staircase to upstairs. Front and rear brick and slate courtyards with fountains provide a tranquil setting.
2005-2006 the home was lovingly restored retaining the historic charm while incorporating all the modern amenities expected in a fine hotel. New baths separate HVAC in each room, hardwood floors, carpet, TV/DVD and refrigerators.
