The Hawley B&B is an urban B&B in a Victorian home close to the University of Nebraska and downtown Lincoln. Amenities include a full home cooked breakfast, coffee, tea and snacks available anytime. Make our home your home while in Lincoln.

A room is available on 1st floor and a suite is available on 1st and 2nd floor; clawfoot tubs for a relaxing soak, bath salts and robes; showers; sun rooms for reading and relaxing too.

High speed internet and off street parking are also available. We are 3 blocks from the bus stop and within walking distance of the University of Nebraska and downtown Lincoln. We are about 10 minutes from the Lincoln Airport and about 60 minutes from the Omaha Airport.

A sample breakfast would be coffee or tea, juice, fruit, an egg dish, meat, potato, homemade bread, baked coffee cake or muffin or scone. Beverages and snacks available any time in our beverage area. Glasses, table service and napkins are reusable, not disposable.

An ironing board & iron, beverage center, living room with TV/DVD, sunroom and library with many books are available for guest use.

We are as green as possible in a victorian home. We use cotton towels and linens; down or down alternative comforters and cotton or cotton/poly quilts. Sheets are cotton or a cotton blend; china and table ware are reusable, not disposable, cloth napkins, etc.

We have some single use items available but encourage guests to use multi use dispensers for handwashing soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We encourage people to conserve water and to be more green by using towels and sheets like you would at home. We use zone heating and cooling to save resources when rooms are empty. Our furnaces, air conditioners and water heater are all energy effecient models. As we replace other items, we reuse, and try to make a low impact on the environment.

We also are very friendly for people with chemical sensitivity issues. Please call and talk to the innkeeper to see if we meet your requirements before you register. We clean with environmentally safe items like soap & water, baking soda and vinegar. We wash linens in soft water with low odor soap and dry linens either on the line or in the dryer using no fabric softner.

We also have mostly hardwood floors with area carpets to minimize odors that may affect people with sensitivities. We also encourage people to not wear after-shave or perfume or any strong odor of any kind, including washing clothes in strong smelling soap or using fabric softeners that leave odors in clothes. Most windows open and most rooms have ceiling fans for your comfort. We have no pets in the house.
We offer discounts for multi night or weekly stays.

Attractions in nearby communities include Omaha with Lied Rain Forrest; Mahoney State Park along the Platte River; Kearney's Museum across I80; Grand Island's Suhr's Museum; North Platte's Buffalo Bill Ranch & Nebraskaland days in June.
