Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast

The Mountain Laurel Bed & Breakfast is a majestic 7,000 sq. ft. Dutch Colonial brick home built in 1924. We're located in the quaint little borough of Blossburg in Tioga county in north-central Pennsylvania. We're conveniently located near Mansfield University in Mansfield PA, and Wellsboro PA, home of the Pine Creek Gorge (the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.)

This is a NON-SMOKING facility, although you are permitted to smoke on the grounds outside. (But please properly dispose of your cigarette butts.)

Our three guest bedrooms are on the second floor. Each bedroom has a private bath, a comfortable bed, and a color television with basic cable channels. Each bedroom has a window air conditioner during the summer months.

The second floor also has a large area near the bedrooms where guests can sit and chat. The downstairs sunporch is a great place to socialize and play games, or just relax and watch television. There's also a huge living area with chairs, sofas, books, piano, and organ for your entertainment. (If you ask, we can loan you a guitar, banjo, or mandolin, too.)

In the warmer months the backyard garden has a gazebo with wicker rocking chairs, and additional tables and chairs are on the side porch that opens into the dining room.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, or you just want to 'get away'...this is the place for you. We have an informal atmosphere and strive to make you feel at ease. Take your shoes off. Relax. Take a nap. Sit and chat. Play with the dogs. (We have two Cocker Spaniels.)

A full breakfast is always served on weekends. Unfortunately, most weekdays we can only provide a Continental Breakfast.

NOTE: New plumbing and fixtures were installed during winter 2004. No more rusty water! A new, high-efficiency heating system (both radiant and baseboard circulated hot water) was installed during winter 2005/fall 2006.
