Morannedd Bed & Breakfast Criccieth

Morannedd 'House by the Sea' is situated in the historic Castle Town of Criccieth on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula.

Morannedd offers two rooms from £50 per night for the room with breakfast for two, one is large double bedroom with panoramic views over the sea to the mountains of Snowdonia. The other is a twin/double room. The large double bedroom has a digital flat screen TV. All rooms have coffee and tea making facilities and free WiFi connection.

We offer the choice of traditional or continental breakfast served in dining room or, in the case of the large front room, in the comfort of your bedroom.

The bathroom with power shower is for your own private use.

The castle, promenade and beach are just a few minutes walk away. Criccieth has a good selection of shops, restaurants and tea rooms. Criccieth railway station is part of the Cambrian coastal line.

Porthmadog is a short drive away, as is Llanystumdwy the home of Lloyd George, and the museum.

For the railway enthusiast the Ffestiniog Steam Railway is an interesting place to visit. Black Rock sands, a beautiful stretch of beach can be reached by walking along the coastal path from Criccieth, or by car.

Plas Glyn Y Weddw a Victorian Gothic Mansion that has an art gallery is in Llanbedrog, with a conservatory tea room and beautiful views, with its magnificent Jacobean staircase, hammer beam roof and 10 airy gallery spaces. While you are in Llanbedrog why not walk down to the beautiful sandy beach.

Harlech which has a Castle, theatre and a variety of shops and tea rooms is a short drive away.

The Cambrian coast railway line goes from Pwllheli through Criccieth and on as far as Aberystwyth stopping at among other places Porthmadog, Harlech and Barmouth, all well worth a visit.

Caernarfon is a 25 minute drive away with its superb Castle where in 1969, the castle gained worldwide fame as the setting for the Investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales.
