Usk Valley Bed & Breakfast
We would very much like to welcome you to our home, a former farm house which dates back 400 hundred years. Sympathetically rebuilt it in 2007 it sits in the picturesque Usk valley. It’s ideally situated for walkers, cyclists, fishermen, golfers and artists. There are three golf courses nearby, also the River Usk and the Monmouthshire canal and we have local studios and galleries. With numerous castles to visit, an idyllic place to relax with its rolling hills and mountains.
The spacious double luxury rooms have king size beds with arm chairs and a small settee. There is a welcome tray with selection of teas, coffee and biscuits, a flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi, hair-driers, and clock radios, private en suites with luxury facilities.
The rooms have views overlooking the garden and surrounding fields. Breakfast is a real treat anything from fruit, cereal, freshly baked croissants, to a full welsh. Vegetarian options available on request served at a time to suit our guests with locally sourced produce.
Guests have access to the lounge where there is sky TV available, 3 comfortable leather settees and a log burner fire. Very cosy in the evening .On the landing by the bedrooms there is seating, a bookcase with games, DVDs and books for anyone to sit and read. We have a large dining room with an 8ft dining table that sits 8 people comfortably. There is a downstairs cloak room.
The spacious garden has seating areas all with a different perspective on the garden and surrounding area, there is a family of woodpeckers to watch and the ever returning house martins.
The house is surrounded by 4 barn conversions in a very quiet area just off the main road and although a very rural still convenient for nearby towns.
A short distance from the house are superb Michelin star restaurants and two pubs serving high quality food at reasonable prices. We can make bookings for our guest if required. In Abergavenny and Usk there are the usual take aways if guests wish to bring food back they are welcome to use the dining room.
Bus and train stations in the market town of Abergavenny “Gateway to Wales “ is only 5 miles away, we can make arrangements for a taxi if needed. Usk is 5miles and the M4 only15 miles, which takes you to Cardiff, a 45min drive. Also not too far is Brecon Beacons with its wonderful mountains and waterfalls and Hay-on Wye well known for its book shops.
Our home is pet friendly and we welcome well behaved dogs in rooms and lounge, our old Labrador will give them a warm welcome too.
Smoking is not allowed in the house but guest can smoke around the garden.

We love to meet new people, and like our guests to feel comfortable in our home to come and go when it suits them and to have privacy when they want it.
