Traethllawn B&B
Sue and Mike wish you a warm welcome to Traethllawn.
Set in over an acre of lawned gardens and beautiful bursts of flowering borders. The grounds give out an air of peace and relaxation.
Originally owned by the Earl of Powys, Traethllawn is a Grade 2 listed early Victorian house, retaining many original features but also has the added attraction of newly fitted period style bathrooms. Driving up into the grounds there is ample car parking space, yet Traethllawn is 2 minutes from the shops, restaurants and entertainment.
At Traethllawn we welcome walkers and cyclists. There is a secure storage area for bikes and motorcycles, and also access to equipment to wash down bikes. An area for drying clothes on those rare rainy days can also be made available.
Packed lunches and early morning breakfasts are also available with prior notice. We can provide an evening meal, by prior arrangement; alternatively there are pubs and restaurants within a short stroll.
We offer two double rooms (the Blue Room and the Green Room), both situated on the first floor with private bathrooms.
The rooms have views of the gardens and surrounding countryside, tea and coffee making facilities and remote control televisions/DVDs. A selection of DVDs is available for our guests.
Our bedding quilts and covers contain down and feathers. If you prefer those that are synthetically filled please advise prior to arrival.
The property is located within the town of Welshpool, adjacent to the canal with its walkways and access to Powysland museum. Welshpool's pubs and restaurants are but a stroll away.
Powys Castle, with its world famous gardens, is a ten minute walk to the gates.
Offa's Dyke and Llanfair Light Railway are close by.
In addition many other outdoor pursuits can be found in and around the area, in particular Lake Vyrnwy and the Snowdonia National.
