Westview Guesthouse nr Hay on Wye
We aim to provide great rooms, fabulous breakfasts and amazing service. One of the triumphs of Westview is the way a building of contemporary design and modern comforts sits so comfortably in beautiful rural surroundings.
We have 3 spacious double rooms with ensuites and 1 twin room with a private bathroom. All rooms have televisions and tea/coffee facilities.
The dining room and residents lounge are situated on the first floor to take full advantage of the outstanding views of the Brecon Beacons and Black mountains. The whole house benefits from underfloor heating and there is also Wi-Fi throughout.
Westview is set in half an acre of its own grounds with plenty of off-road parking, a large lawn to the rear and a front lawn with peerless view of the hills. Set in the quiet village of Llowes, the village pub, the Radnor Arms, provides a great place for dinner with no need to drive back.
The thriving market town of Hay-on-Wye, so famous for its second-hand bookshops and literary festival is nearby and this is a perfect base to explore all that the Brecon Beacons National Park has to offer. We are yards from the Wye Valley long distance footpath and just a few miles away are the Begwyns. These are acres of beautiful, easily accessible National Trust land with its 360-degree vistas. Topped by a mystical circle of trees at the very summit known as the ‘Roundabout’, with the crescent shaped stone wall bench within its walls creates a visit to remember.
