My parents set up the Lodge Scole after their honeymoon. They visited to the Alps in Europe and looked around nice beautiful houses and accommodation,they referred to them for building the lodge. This is my father's dream to having nice and cosy accommodation in his country side because he knew that there are beautiful mountains and views in Yamagata and his father(my grand father) has got property in Mt. Zao and there was little house.

When I was born, he set up the Scole even though my mother disagreed this project. (she came from West side of Japan (KANSAI) you know why she did not want to do it...)) Well, anyway both parents like skiing, nature this is good reason for him to building the scole.

So , finally he did it!! after I was born. Now, The lodge scole is waiting for you and enjoy with us. Last 10 years, the many tourists are visiting an stay with us from overseas as well. So why not join with scole friendship from now on? we are always welcome and waiting for you with hospitality oh I forgot ..with my lovely dog paulo and my sun Keito are waiting for you.

Because the entrance is a bit difficult to find and not easy to pop in to the inside (your feeling) However!, once you got in, nice and cosy atmosphere come out please check it out yourself.

We are close to the main slopes. Less than 5 minutes to the nearest lift and sky cable. Lodge scole is a classic European - style run by the ojima family.
