Pencubitt Country House is a small luxury hotel with 9 rooms situated in the village of Lamellion Cross on the outskirts of Liskeard, Cornwall. There are buses and trains nearby and it is only a 15 minute walk into Liskeard.
Pencubitt is an ideal base for exploring Cornwall and Devon. It is close to the Eden Project (we have tickets), Lost gardens of Heligan, Looe & Polperro, Tintagel, Bodmin Moor, Plymouth and Dartmoor. We are within easy reach of many attractions in Cornwall and Devon.

Pencubitt House sits in two and a half acres of its own gardens overlooking the Looe Valley. With luxury en-suite rooms, a comfortable well stocked bar and a restaurant serving full English breakfasts and three course evening meals. There is a comprehensive wine list too.
Pencubitt House was built in 1897 for a wealthy wool merchant, J. H. Blamey. Pencubitt became a hotel in 1950 and has operated as such since.
Pencubitt is all non smoking indoors, but guests who wish to smoke may take advantage of the terrace and Verandah.
Facilities at Pencubitt are designed for adults seeking peace and quiet far from the madding crowd.
Pencubitt has a large comfortable Bar Lounge with a real fire in winter, great for those cosy evenings with a nightcap.
The view from the bar overlooks the gardens and provides stunning views of the rolling countryside.
The bar lounge terrace faces south overlooking the Looe Valley and makes for the most pleasant summer evening drinks. Figs, date palms olives, kiwi fruit, Limes and Lemons all grow well on the terrace.
The Gold Lounge is furnished with comfortable settees, library of books and magazines and a number of table games. The lounge provides views over the garden and adjacent rolling hills.
There is a spacious dining room serving full English breakfasts and three course evening meals with fresh coffee and an extensive wine list.
Evening meals in the dining room need to be pre-ordered as the restaurant is open to residents and their guests only.
The hotel has gardens of approximately two and a half acres, mainly laid to lawn with trees, shrubs and hedgerows which attract all manner of wildlife.
There is safe off street parking for twelve or more cars reached by the winding drive from the main gate.
The head of Bertha Gribble can be found in the gardens beside the drive. The work of local artist Margaret Eglin, Bertha keeps a an eye on Pencubitt.
The gardens of two and a half acres include walking paths through the trees and are available for the pleasure of our guests.
Pencubitt provides free wireless broadband and also offers photo printing, CD burning, and fax.
Pencubitt Country House has single, king, superking, twin rooms, double rooms and a king suite.
All our rooms are en-suite equipped with direct dial telephones, Colour TVs, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and thermostat controlled radiators.
Rooms are available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Guests who arrive early are welcome to leave their luggage which we will place in their rooms as soon as they are ready.
Residents are asked to vacate their rooms on the day of departure by 10.30am. This is necessary for the Housekeeper to prepare the rooms for guests arriving later the same day.
