Tythebarn House B&B
6 Very Good Reasons for you to visit
Just 5 mins off J36:M6: Break your journey - relax - have some tea and cake. Then sleep soundly - have a great breakfast. Only then, travel on - refreshed and relaxed!
Stone-Baked Breakast : Prepared using the best of locally-sourced ingredients, and presented to your table on fabulous 'Pampered Chef' stoneware
Your own mini-apartment: We have just one ground-floor room, which will be arranged to meet your needs - single, twin or super-king. Then there is a separate bathroom/wc and, just for you, a kitchenette with microwave, drinks chiller and enough equipment for a basic snack. And your own secure area with small lobby.
Food prepared by Diana, a TV champion : Diana is on hand to cook your breakfast. She is a former Cumbria Cook of the Year, and in 2011, reached the finals of Britains Best Dish with her outstanding Damson and Apple Pie
A Great Place to Explore: While traffic in the Lakes is bumper to bumper, the lanes of Arnside and Silverdale remain uncluttered. Much the same can be said of the Yorkshire Dales. Nearer at hand, just stroll-out onto the peaceful Lancaster Canal, or bag one of the easiest fells in Cumbria - Farleton Knott
Come as a Guest - Leave as a Friend : Guests comment on our attention to detail - our welcoming cup of tea or cofee with home-made cake - and the comforts of our guest room, made-up to your requirements. They love our fluffy white towel robes - and the absence of those horrible instant coffee sachets and sterilsed milk cartons. You have your own cafetiere, a drinks chiller ( you provide the gin), and a lot more !
From the back of the barn, you are just yards from the Lancaster Canal - a haven for wildlife, with distant view to the Lakeland Fells. Behind, Farleton Knott, a limestone outcrop offers an easy walk with the reward of a 360-degree panorama.
In addition to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, you also have the delights of Morecambe Bay, Arnside, Silverdale and the historic city of Lancaster. Why not leave the car at home. We offer free use of two bikes, and will collect visitors from Oxenholme or Carnforth rail station (no charge)
Holme has an excellent pub/restaurant, and there are many peaceful walks to be enjoyed, especially in nearby Silverdale.
