Denton Hall is a secluded, country farmhouse with unique period features, set in 8 acres of garden grounds and paddocks.
It is the perfect venue for a relaxing family getaway, or for that special romantic occasion such as an anniversary, or birthday. In the morning enjoy a continental or cooked breakfast using local free range produce.
The Farmhouse was extended in 1829 and is built around a 14th century pele tower.
It has been renovated to an exceptional standard and incorporates the original medieval tower as a feature.
Many of the rooms inside the house have the impressive original stonework featured.
The luxury TOWER bedroom is part of the original 14th century pele tower, with it`s own secret staircase.
Denton Hall is conveniently situated off the
A69, just 12 miles from Carlisle & Gretna Green and 45 miles from Newcastle.
Local attractions include Hadrian’s Wall and Lanercost Priory. We are happy to transport walkers to/from Hadrian’s Wall.
The remains of a motte and medieval fishponds can be seen in the paddocks that adjoin the main house. We also have a fantastic South facing garden and, in the evening, you may be lucky enough to get a glimpse of our resident Barn Owl.
We have a selection of pets - horses, ponies, dogs, cats and chickens, and guests can help with daily routines.
Horse B&B can also be arranged and dogs are welcome. We can provide kennels for during your stay.
We also offer horse riding & trekking through stunning countryside on safe, well mannered horses & ponies. Non-residents are welcome.
The village of Brampton is only 3 miles away, offering a great selection of venues for eating out. A taxi can be arranged for your convenience.
