Built in 1812, Linnett Hill is a Regency property with a unique Dutch façade prominently situated in the centre of Keswick directly opposite magnificent Fitz Park enjoying breathtaking views towards Latrigg and Skiddaw.

The property has been comprehensively refurbished and now boasts modern facilities whilst still retaining much of its original character.

Linnett Hill currently offers seven fully en-suite guest bedrooms.

Only a minute’s walk to Keswick’s famous market square with its many shops, bars, pubs and restaurants Linnett Hill is perfectly located for you to enjoy all that Keswick and the North Lakes have to offer.

Keswick and the Fells are a magnet for fell walkers, scramblers and climbers. From flat strolls along the shores of Derwentwater to gruelling hikes over some of the toughest and highest fells in England, the area has walks for everyone.

There are so many amazing Fells to walk around Keswick and the Northern Lakes, all with spectacular views:
To the North, there is the Skiddaw range, which dominates over Keswick.
To the East there is Blencathra and Clough Head and the Dodds which stretch over towards the famous Helvellyn range and the Lake Districts very own ski tow!
To the West is the stunning Grisedale Pike and the Fells of the Newlands Valley – the 15mile Coledale horseshoe walk is one not to be missed taking in Sail, Causey Pike to name just a few of the amazing Fells.
To the South is Borrowdale and its amazing selection of Fells of varying heights from where you can see Scafell Pike – THE highest mountain in England with a summit of 978 metres.

Keswick is situated on the C2C route and this fascinating area should appeal to cyclists of all ages and abilities. You can adapt your route to take in picturesque country lanes or remote off-road tracks surrounded by a stunning Lakeland landscape.

Eating out in Keswick you are spoilt for choice… choose from the many traditional Lakeland pubs, bistro style restaurants, local cafes or some superb speciality restaurants.

Keswick holds an historic market every Thursday and Saturday in the main market square around the Moot Hall. Here you will find stalls selling local produce, arts and crafts. There are many independent shops and galleries and plenty of specialist outdoor shops catering for all manner of outdoor activities.

Not to be missed is Derwentwater - Keswick's beautiful Lake surrounded by the most stunning scenery in the Lake District. You can stroll down to it, walk around it, try a new activity on it, take the launch boat along it or walk the Fells surrounding it....a MUST while you are in Keswick.

Keswick has a numerous art galleries, a traditional cinema – The Alhambra and there is the Theatre by the Lake located on the picturesque shores of Derwentwater.

There are a number of interesting museums to visit in and around Keswick – The Cumberland Pencil Museum and The Keswick Museum and Art Gallery on the outskirts of the beautiful Fitz Park.

Finally, Keswick hosts many festivals throughout the year including: The Keswick Film Festival, The Jazz Festival, The Beer Festival, Keswick Mountain Festival plus many more events.
