Gatcombe Farm

A warm welcome awaits you at Gatcombe Farm, a working dairy farm and a 4* silver award B&B situated just off the A3052 in its own valley only a 5 - 10 minute drive from the villages of Beer and Branscombe and the town of Seaton.

The popular towns of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis are within easy reach and the cathedral city of Exeter around 40 minutes away with its international airport 20 minutes drive to the farm. There is a good off road parking area in the front of the farmhouse for guests use.

Gatcombe offers two spacious and traditionally furnished ensuite bedrooms. Accommodating up to 7 people. The family/double room overlooks the garden and has an ensuite bathroom with shower and accommodates between 2 and 4 guests. The double/twin room has an ensuite shower room and has views up across the fields. This room can accommodate 3 people

Both rooms have satellite DVD TV, clock radios, sofas, hairdryers, heating, beverage tray and towels supplied. There is a separate dining room where a large full English is served on individual tables using home produced bacon and sausages and other local produce. A good continental selection is available for those with the smaller appetite.

The guests lounge which dates back around 400 years has a large inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove and a beamed ceiling. It has satellite TV, DVD player, tourist information, a fridge and comfortable furniture.

The lounge is also centrally heated for those chillier evenings and the large gardens have furniture for guests who just want to soak up the sun in peace. The village of Beer offers many good pubs and restaurants for evening meals.

Gatcombe is situated ideally for walking and the coastline is also very popular with guests. Many visitors return annually for the Gatcombe experience - home Aga cooking, tours around the farm and the beautiful countryside.
