A. bus stop is just by the house and a train to London is in Axminster 10 mins by car.
Two village pubs provide excellent meals and ales. The south west coast path is close and this is a very popular stay for walkers. Thier are many things to do fishing, sailing, a golf club, caves and horse riding to name a few. Wind surfing on the river Axe is possible at high tide and several times during the summer the 'AXE ONE Design' small boats especially designed for this river compete against each other, a lovely sight. A fishing permit is available if you like to hang out with your rod. Birdwatching from the bird hides and the river walk are a pleasant thing to do.
There is plenty of parking, if you are a keen walker then I am happy to collect you from the end of your walk and bring you home if you are staying for two nights, Sidmouth 3 hours west and Lyme Regis 2 and a half to the east, this is lovely walking country.
Seaton is the closest town and you can walk along the river to it, here you will find all the shops and facilities that you need, maybe go out mackerel fishing or a dip in the water.
