We currently have one double room with a king size bed and ensuite shower room and are working hard on making more available very soon. The room has a flat screen TV, Tea/Coffee making facilities, hairdryer, toiletries, USB charging point, large wardrobe. Free WIFI is available throughout the house.
We offer a continental, self-service breakfast with a range of fruit juice, cereals, homemade bread, preserves, fruit and homemade natural yoghurt. Packed lunches and evening meals shared with us are available on request. Alternatively you could use our pizza oven and BBQ.
Guests are able to take advantage of our large residents' lounge which has a log burner and a large selection of board games, puzzles and books. We have a drying room for your gear if you are unlucky enough to get caught in the rain.
The grounds for the house include ancient broad leaved woodland with stunning bluebells in May, and rich in wildlife. You are welcome to explore the gardens and woods.
The new Wray Valley Cycle Trail runs along one side of our land and you can use it to get to both Moretonhampstead and Lustleigh (and beyond) without going on the main road. We have bicycles available for you to borrow and can offer safe and secure storage for yours.
We are both experienced and qualified walking leaders and can recommend walks in the local area or, if you prefer, take you on a guided walk. The local beauty spot of Lustleigh Cleave is close by or you could choose to go up to Haytor and onto Widecombe or down into the nature reserve at Yarner Woods.
The nearest village is Lustleigh, which has a very popular pub serving excellent food, a tea room which serves very generous portions, and a small shop and post office.
Nearby Moretonhampstead and Bovey Tracey offer a wider range of independent shops, pubs and cafe. While in Bovey Tracey why not visit the Dartmoor Whisky Distillery and Parke, the National Park HQ and National Trust property.
Slightly further afield is Trago Mills, a retail institution in the south west. The cities of Exeter and Plymouth are nearby or you could choose to spend a day at the beach in the South Hams.
