We have single, double twin and family overnight accommodation with ample parking and conveniently located for Colchester General Hospital and Oaks Private Hospital as well as being close to the town centre of Colchester.

A short distance away is Colchester United Football Club's home ground at the Community Stadium. This is an ideal location for home or away fans to make a night of it. Additionally you are very close to several golf courses and the village of West Bergholt.

The guest house has recently been refurbished with the emphasis being to provide excellent facilities to business customers and leisure travellers but particularly suits buisness people. All rooms have been fitted to a standard in line with good budget accommodation with spacious private ensuite facilities. We also have ground floor rooms.

There are numerous sites such as Colchester Castle, the superb Castle Park as well as many other landmark buildings you would expect to find in Britain's oldest recorded town. There is a bus stop directly across the road, which takes you into the centre of town in a few minutes.

A well-equipped leisure centre is not far away and a short drive will take you into some lovely countryside.

At night there are many thriving nightclubs and bars, as well as a theatre to keep you entertained.

Not only is the Railway Sleeper brilliantly situated for Colchester’s town centre, main railway station and main general hospital, it also benefits from having excellent access links to a number of key locations.

A few minutes drive will take you to the important A12 dual carriageway serving a number of towns all the way to London or if travelling in the opposite direction, Ipswich and beyond.

In addition, approximately 40 minutes by car will take you to one of Britain’s biggest airports, Stansted. There is also a great coach / bus connection to Stansted from Colchester North train station which is 5 minutes walk form the Railway Sleeper.

Speaking of the train station – every 20 minutes there are trains to London’s Liverpool Street, a journey which itself takes approximately 55 minutes.
