Field View Bed & Breakfast, Higham, Rochester
We are a pleasant family-run Bed and Breakfast, located in the peaceful village of Higham. We have stunning views from the back of the house.
All of our rooms come with tea and coffee making facilities, snacks, television, free wi-fi, towels and plenty of storage.
Our prices (£35 single occupant, £60 for twin or double room) include breakfast which is served early til 10am and consists of anything from cereal to fully cooked breakfast.
We allow smoking in the garden, and if guests wish, they may have their breakfast outside in order to enjoy the views.
We try our best to cater for everybody whether it be families or pet owners. Feel free to contact us and we will see what arrangements can be made regarding fold-out beds for children etc.
Being close to both 'The Knowle Country House' and 'The Little Hermitage' we are popular with wedding guests. We are also in close proximity to the Isle of Grain and Chatham Dockyard, meaning we appeal to visitors from further afield who have been contracted to work in the surrounding areas.
Local attractions include The Historic Dockyard, which has family fun days, boardable ships and submarine, a museum, tours, playgrounds and places to eat and drink. Nearby is the popular Dicken's world, based on the life and work of Charles Dickens. which includes a 3d screen and a boat ride. Also of interest is the Historic town of Rochester, which hosts many festivals including dickens and sweeps, and is home to Rochester castle.
We are situated near to Gravesend, and are a short drive from Bluewater shopping centre.
Just down the road from us is a great value carvery, which many of our previous guests have enjoyed.
We have a guest book and it is full of lovely comments about the rooms, the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, the breakfast and above all the beautiful views. We are sure you will have a pleasant stay with us , so please visit our website and contact us with any queries you may have.
Thankyou, Sean and Hazel.
