Birdsong Cottage was originally built in the 16th Century as a Smithy. Tucked away in an unspoilt beauty spot with the convenience of being close to all local attractions, Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, Craster, The Cheviots are all within easy reach. Also proving very popular at Birdsong Cottage is 'bird watching' we also attract a lot of varied wildlife including red squirrels and badgers. Fishing & Golf are also available locally along with Horse Riding.

There are good rail links to Newcastle & Edinburgh, local cycle hire is available for the more active among us.

There are plenty of Country Inns & good Pubs to eat at locally & of course Alnwick has plenty of Restaurants & bars to choose from with the Tree House always being a firm favourite.

We have just won the coveted Breakfast Award, and are pleased to offer locally sourced & organic wherever possible fare. We offer a selection of fresh juices and smoothies, a good variety of teas & coffee, homemade bread & preserves, fully cooked English to your liking, daily specials & local delicacies. We cater for All Diets.
