Exmoor House

Our beautiful home has been sympathetically refurbished to incorporate modern technology whilst maintaining its Edwardian character. All our ensuite rooms (2 with shower and 3 with bath and shower) now have Smart tv with DVD and Freeview, USB charging points, silent mini fridge, laptop safe, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh milk plus powerful showers, comfy beds, crisp bedlinen and soft towels.

The warm, wood clad dining room has a view of Dunkery Beacon and the sitting room has 3 large, comfy sofas, an open fire, books, games, puzzles and maps - a great place to curl up with a cuppa and plan the next day's activity.

We offer a wide breakfast choice including:
Choice of fruit juices, fresh grapefruit, prunes, cereals, free range fried, poached or scrambled eggs, locally sourced sausages and bacon from rare breed pigs, fresh tomato, baked beans, black pudding and smoked salmon with scrambled egg served on a toasted bagel. You can choose to have any of these ingredients on toast or as a sandwich if a full breakfast is too much first thing in the morning!

We also offer packed lunches and evening platters (given 24 hours notice to ensure that all ingredients are fresh) if you don't want to eat out.

Why not book the house for sole use? We are the perfect venue (for up to 12 people) if you're celebrating a special birthday or anniversary, or would simply like to have a get-together with family or friends. We can arrange for an award winning caterer to provide evening meals if you want to eat in or there is a pub opposite that serves great food at very reasonable prices.

We have a dedicated drying room for clothes and boots and secure storage for bikes and equipment. So if you are on a walking or cycling holiday we are an excellent choice!

Exmoor is Europe's first designated 'International Dark Skies Reserve' and nearby Dunkery Beacon is a great place to stargaze. In October 2017 Exmoor National Park hosts its first 'Dark Skies Festival' from 19th to 29th with events appealing to both adults and children.
