Quality B&B in idyllic location with stunning views close to Bath, Wells & Bristol
Ideally situated for weekends away, business stays, airport stopovers, wedding or event accommodation, we invite you to Ashcroft House 'Cottage B&B' to enjoy the charm and character of our lovely cottage.
You will find peace and quiet, home from home comfort, spotless rooms, breathtaking views and a warm welcome. We offer some of the nicest rooms and most outstanding value B&B & self-catering accommodation in the area.
We are environment and people-friendly, using Ecover cleaning products & largely organic and/or locally sourced breakfast ingredients.
Offering a breath of fresh air and a complete change of pace, we are situated on a quiet lane on the outskirts of Blagdon village in the heart of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with footpaths on the doorstep and spectacular panoramic views over the hills, woodland and across to Wales. Families and children are welcome.
Ashcroft offers non-smoking accommodation in lovely, fresh rooms with single, double, twin or family occupancy (one room has en-suite facilities). Both rooms have TV, hospitality trays with tea, coffee, fruit/herb teas, biscuits and water. Fluffy towels are provided. We offer a continental style buffet breakfast, in our characterful dining room with beamed ceiling, exposed stone wall and antique French woodburner.
Ashcroft's garden is home to cheerful chickens, friendly miniature ponies, and beautiful Arabian horses.
It's a great location to explore all the best West Country attractions including Bath, Wells, Cheddar, Wookey, Weston Super Mare, the Mendip Hills and the Chew Valley, with friendly pubs and visitor attractions here in Blagdon village and nearby.
If you tire of the views and the stunning sunsets, there is plenty more on our doorstep to keep you occupied. Walking, horse riding, mountain biking, caving, fishing and dry slope skiing are on, or very near our doorstep together with many local attractions. Some fabulous days out can be found with Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar and Wookey Hole caves and Bristol and Bath, all within 15 to 35 minutes drive.
