Situated in a delightful and peaceful area of Somerset, the Bothy is in a perfect location for touring the area. There are some lovely walks accessible from the property including across the site of the Glastonbury Festival. Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Tor and the stunning ruins of the town's Abbey are prominent local landmarks. Venture further afield and explore the many delights the area has to offer which include the coastline of North Somerset, the Somerset Levels, Clarks Village at Street, the Mulberry seconds shop in Shepton Mallet and also the city of Bath with its many historical attractions. And from June 2013 there is also the world famous Glastonbury Festival!

Directions to the Bothy at Manor Farm

From Pilton travel towards Glastonbury on the A361; after the steep hill coming (down) out of Pilton, travel along the flat for about a mile, taking the first turning left - which is Stickleball Lane. [If you go past the Apple Tree pub on your right, you'll have gone too far and will need to backtrack a few hundred yards.]

We're half a mile straight up Stickleball Lane on the right. Drive up the track, past the stables on the left, proceed onto the gravel area in front of main house and knock on the door. We can then show you to the Bothy and its parking space.

Glastonbury Festival 2013

Here at Manor Farm we provide an intimate and exclusive venue for a limited number of Festival guests to whom we are able to offer a choice of comfortable accommodation. For the Festival in 2011 our guests were delighted with the experience; we had some luxury RVs, also a stunning converted double decker bus (sleeping 4) with a hot tub on the upper deck. In addition we provided a small converted barn (The Bothy), which is in the garden.

Our Festival guests remarked on how quiet and peaceful our site was, with lovely views over the Somerset levels, towards Wells and the Mendips, but at the same time a mere 10 minute and (almost entirely) level walk to gate D - one remarking that it was “Glastonbury without tears”.

A great advantage also commented on was the ability both to arrive and to leave Manor Farm with the minimum of hassle; whilst the roads are undoubtedly busy during Festival time, the directions given to our guests eased the pain - local knowledge being all!

For the event in 2013 we will be providing Recreational Vehicles (basically very large and comfortable caravans), also innovative and luxury accommodation units each with a double bed, loo and shower - heaven! Also the stunning double-decker and the Bothy - see above.

If you are interested in staying at Manor Farm for the Festival period in 2013, then please contact Matthew in the first instance.
