Norfolk House Bed & Breakfast

Norfolk House is a quiet and peaceful Georgian - style house situated by the church, in Cheveley High Street, and is about 3 miles from Newmarket.

There are three bedrooms, The Blue Room has a 5 ft bed with an en-suite shower room, and lovely views over the countryside and garden. A complimentary refreshment tray and hairdrier are provided, and bottled water. Cotton sheets and duvet covers and feather quilts are used on the bed. There is a television in the double room, and everyone may use the guest lounge, which has an open fire in it in the winter, and a television.

The Cream room has two single beds or a 6ft bed, a refreshment tray , and a television .
Towelling robes and hairdryer are provided, and a shower room is just across the landing, for the use of guests in this room only. Recently refurbished the bedroom now has new beds and matching furniture and is a bright, sunny room at the front of the house.

The French Room is a romantic room decorated with silk curtains and bed drapes and antique furniture, and a real French bed, covered in silk. Bathrobes are provided. Guests use a private toilet and washbasin opposite, and have use of a shower.
Continental breakfast is served in the conservatory or garden, at a time to suit you, but not later than 9.00 am. Homemade preserves and home-made bread are usually available and fresh fruits too. Also served are cereals, yoghurts, cold meats and cheeses and croissants, tea, coffee and toast.

There is a swimming pool for use in the summer months, weather permitting! There is ample off road parking and free WIFI throughout the house. If you arrive around teatime tea and cake will be available.

The lovely cities of Cambridge, Bury St. Edmunds and Ely are all nearby, and Newmarket is about 3 miles away, with the new Heritage centre
( National Horseracing Museum), the Gallops, where you can watch the racehorses in training, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the town.
We have several good pubs around, and one is in walking distance from the house.
Payment is by cheque, cash or bank transfer, (no cards) and a deposit is required to reserve a room.
