La Cachette close to Sarlat
La Cachette is situated in an elevated position over looking the village of Grolejac, with wonderful views across to the Dordogne Valley. Close to medieval Sarlat and Domme and short drive to the riverside villages of La Roque Gageac and Beynac. Rocamadour is approximately an hour by car. Picturesque bastide towns, chateaux, grottes with underground river and cave paintings are just some of the many attractions this lovely region of France has to offer.
Locally Grolejac has 3 restaurants and a bar within walking distance, a large lake which is safe for swimming with a sandy beach, an excellent cycle path with bike hire in season, canoe hire on the river Dordogne which winds its way past the village and a tennis court. There is a golf course and horse riding facilities close by.
