Beautiful bed and breakfast in an old Charentaise property with stone walls and beamed ceilings, fire place and bread oven. Twenty minutes away from La Rochelle center and from the coast, 25 minutes away from the Ile de Ré and Rochefort and only 10 minutes from the small market town of Surgères and 45 minutes from the marshes and canals area near Niort, we are ideally situated in the peaceful hamlet of Le bois de l'encens, near Virson.
Our bed and breakfast is more like a suite with a lounge and dining area downstairs and a bedroom, a shower room and a separate toilet upstairs.
You can relax on your own little patio next to the B&B, surrounded by aromatic plants and the veg garden, or have a dip in the pool or sit in the shade of the covered patio. You can also use our free internet access, board games, outdoor games like table tennis, badminton, croquet and the pool table.
The breakfast is served from 8.30 to 10.30 in the main kitchen or in the covered patio area when the mornings are warm enough and offer a choice of bread, brioche, yoghurts, cereals, homemade jams, honey, ham, cheese, fruit, fruit juice and tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
We also offer to our guests the option of doing their own breakfast in their own time in their downstairs area with the ingredients supplied by us.
The Table d'Hôte is offered with prior notice for you to try our local seafood or other specialities from the area, which we will be delighted to share with you.
Our rates are:
For up to 3 nights stay
75€ with breakfast for 2 people per night
From 4 nights stay
70€ with breakfast for 2 people per night
For the table d'hôtes:
25€ per person for 4 course meal
No pets are allowed.
