The Bavarian Forest, is part of the largest wooded area in central Europe, often referred to as the Green Roof of Europe. An area of outstanding natural beauty, situated in the South East of Germany, on the border with the Czech Republic, close to Austria and the River Danube.
The Guesthouse is located halfway between Munich and Prague, which along with Salzburg, Regensburg, Nuremberg and Passau, are less the 3 hours drive away. Enjoy the wonderful scenery of the Bayerischer Wald National Park and the Grosser Arber mountain area.
The area is criss-crossed with numerous walking, mountain-biking and cycling trails, and in winter is an excellent place to ski, with both downhill and cross-country skiing well catered for.
