Each morning you will enjoy a breakfast with a wide range of local manufactured products- goat, buffalo, sheep and cow cheeses, either fresh goat or cow milk, tomatoes and cucumbers directly brought from the local farmers, as well as garlic and onion from the house’s vegetable garden.
This location is settled in the middle of Romania and gives you the opportunity to decide wherever you want to go in every direction.
There are many places to visit around, nearer or further from our location. Just 23 km away to the east lays Sibiu (Hermannstadt), the 2007 Cultural Capital of Europe, well known for its museums, the medieval citadel, the amazing Old City and worldwide known festivals.
Among other representative landmarks of Romania, you can visit the Citadel of Alba-Iulia - 70 km far to the west, a town full of Romanic ruins. Power places like Sarmisegetusa, that is 1 ˝ hours far driving in the same direction is seen by the mystics as being one of the most important energy points on the Earth. Around Tilisca you can visit the Icons on Glass Museum, in Sibiel which is only 8 km away. For those who are not travelling by car, there are buses from and to Sibiu. The bus schedule will be available on request.
For those who come by car and want to visit further places, the Transalpina road is a magnificent route, reaching high altitudes that will offer you great views of the Carpathians. At only 1 ˝ hours away of driving there are the Balea Fall and the glacier Balea Lake, places of fresh air and creating unforgettable memories. Both of them are on the Transfagarasan route - internationally recognized for its breathtaking views and ranked by “Top Gear” as the most beautiful road in the world.
It is much more to say, but words are not enough to describe the beauty of the place. You have only to come and see with your own eyes !
